Palo Alto-based Facebook and Think did not disclose terms ofthe Think's CEO and founder, Aaron Greenspan, attended Harvard with Facebook CEO and founder Mark Zuckerberg in where both were "entrepreneurially minded programmers," the companiew said. Starting in August 2003, Think releaserd a Web-based student portal callede houseSYSTEM through a Harvar dstudent group. This software was designed to make life easierfor faculty, and alumni. By September 2003, houseSYSTEM featured a section (devisex and implemented by Greenspan) calledd "The Universal Face Book" (sometimes called "The Face Book").
Think'w system contained a numbed of features, including a coursee scheduler, student marketplace, email service, automatic birthday message boards, photo album, digital flyer event calendar (with online RSVP's), map job placement, and local business reviews. At launch, houseSYSTEM did not feature member profilees due to campussecurity concerns. Profiles were added afterd Zuckerberg launched Facebook inFebruar 2004, along with new features, allowint friends to record the way they had met and notingy the strength of their relationships.
