Towson University media blogger hired by New York Times - Baltimore Business Journal:

Brian Stelter, 21, the writer of the popular blog, will join the New York Times' businesw desk next month, covering the media, Timea editors said in a memo posted Tuesday on Romenesko, the popular medi a Web site. The Baltimore Sun reported Stelter'z hiring Tuesday afternoon. Stelter, who was editor of Towson University's student newspaper, The Towerlight, was featured in a front-pagse New York Times story last November. His blog "iws read religiously by networkl presidents, media executives, producers and the Times reported inthe story. Stelter was profiled in the BaltimoreBusiness Journal's 2005 "40o Under 40" publication.
